This is my authentic 2014 release. They say I'm one of the OG vaporwave artists. My concept was to capture the late 90's aesthetic of modern CD-Rom gaming and education software. Exploring 3D worlds and unlocking mysteries within the knowledge base of the internet was a new thing for me and I was also developing my own artistic inspirations from music and video games. Although it was exciting and inspiring it was also confusing and would bring upon feelings of loneliness. Wanting to contribute, but feeling completely left out because of a slow modem, a weak computer or a broken heart. I remember making very deep connections with users from all over the world and then have them disappear one day and never hear from them again. Trying to balance real life and digital. You would think the developers had hidden something very unique and special within these realms. Sometimes meaning can only be found in the most empty of spaces. In this world you can go to the beach, make friends at the nearby town festival, play games and explore ancient caves. Luxury is installation. Let's enjoy the fine-art that these early developers created in a gallery that will never need sweeping. The gallery is open 9-5 in the center of the MALL.
